How I met your Momma (Ep. 1)

The recent episode I just watched was How I Met Your Mother, Episode One. I have heard many positive feedback from this show, although I have heard about it, this will be my first time illegitimately watching it. So the story line begins with the Narrative (dad) explaining to his children the moment he met their mom. In real life, I strongly believe every child asks the question sooner or later. Children begin to ask questions such as, "Dad how did you meet mom?" and vise versa. However what is peculiar about this TV series is that the children actually do not express any interest in wanting to know. Although the children express no desire the dad foolishly continues to begin the story. Main characters name are, Ted, Marshal, Lily, and Marty. The basic of this TV show is the father narrating the story of how he met his children's mother, however at the end of each episode it is about a complete different person rather than the conclusion of meeting his mother.

Two college guys in the search for love. However one of those guys has just decided to pop the big question. It is not until then that Ted begins to desire his soul mate.
What I really found peculiar is what the mindset the characters within this TV show think of marriage. Marty describes marriage as death. Marriage is described as a Holy Covenant within the Bible. Although marriage's definition was different than today's description, marriage was still a pretty important decision to make. However over the years marriage has lost its innocent's and purity. The manner that marriage is portrait in social media is somewhat gives it a negative connotation. Marriage used to be portrait as a beautiful thing, now it is described as "death". Gives viewers a wrong impression of marriage, which would describe the low rate of marriages and high rates of divorce.
Positive and Negative attracts, How many times have you heard this theory? Within this episode, they explain what they call "The Olive Theory". When a girl or guy declares that they do not like olives and the other person guy or girl does, then the two people are compatible. One individual does and the other one does not, the act of sharing and giving is produced. At first I did not comprehend it, but I actually can find the resemblance of compatibility. However within the Bible we see that this act is definitely a no no. Though shalt not be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14). Ok, I may be going over board, but this are the little things I ask about. The art of having balance is not always express within the bible. It is either a Yes or a no (Matthew 5:27) Although life is not as easy as Yes and No, what is?
I feel like this TV Series would have a negative impact on me, because of the unfamiliar slang and inappropriate language and innuendos, but I will attempt to get the most from it. Although it might not have the most positive discussions, it will be a pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, if you think of TV, movies and music as the prophets in society, they are a bit negative and do lead people down the wrong path. I look forward to your interaction with this show.
