Sixth Episode

It is Halloween in this particular episode and the gangs decides to dress up for Halloween, with each one having a separate story of their own. Lilly and Marshal end up wearing Captain Jack Sparrow and Parrot theme in order to win a context, Lilly as the Parrot and Marshal as Jack. Ted on the other hands wants to go to a roof frat boy party where he has been waiting for a girl who he met three years ago on that same party. He hopes to find her and hopefully get to know her; he nicknames her as “the slutty Pumpkin”. Barney attempts to convince Ted on coming with him to a Victoria Secret Model Yacht party, which Ted refuses to go. The whole night Ted is at this party but he does not meet his long lost “slutty Pumpkin” instead he ends up having a good after party conversation with Robin who also had a bad Halloween experience. Barney disappears to another party and Lilly and Marshall end up winning the context.
What I saw within this episode was the act of determination. All characters attempted to find love, find excitement, and win a contest, but only one was able to feel the accomplishment. Determination is not always guaranteed for sure, life is full of risks, and it is ok to take them. Without taking risks then new experiences are not able to be experienced and new pathways unable to form. God has given us freewill in order for us to make our own choices. It is not wrong to have this free will but letting him directing it is determination we give unto the Lord. We set ourselves apart from others and declare the determination we have for the glory to be done to His Kingdom. God is truly good and His paths are always greater than our own, greater that what we can ever image, even when we think we do His ways are better. Instead of asking the question of why things not coming the right way just stopping and declaring trust and faith in God when taking either path.
